COME AND CELEBRATE NOTRE DAME'S 850TH ANNIVERSARY
The ephemeral installation specifically built on the ‘Parvis’, the square just in front of Notre Dame, allows visitors to admire the cathedral façade from the five-meter high viewing platform. New bells, an improved lighting and a renovated organ have been ordered to celebrate the jubilee year. To enjoy it even more, do not hesitate to book our medieval tour. FEBRUARY 10: JOIN CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS VIBRANT STREET PARADES
Dancers and musicians’ cheerful processions with their amazing and colorful dragons, fish, flags and traditional costumes have become one of the annual Parisian ‘must be seen’. Gorgeous street parades are organised by the Asiatic communities of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements departing from the Town Hall (Place de l’Hôtel de Ville) and from the 13th arrondissement, the historical Chinese district of Paris.

APRIL 6 AND 7: GET READY FOR THE PARIS MARATHON AND MARATHOON
The Parisian 42,195 kilometer long marathon is one of the fifth biggest in the world with more than 40,000 participants longing to beat their record in the City of Lights while running along the Capitale’s most iconic places: Champs Elysées, Bastille, the Seine Bank. Don’t miss the Marathoon’s only-for-kids, 1.5 km race.

MAY 16: ENJOY A NIGHT AT A MUSEUM - NUIT DES MUSEES
Visiting a museum by night is just so outstanding. During the Museum Night City of Paris museums usually open from 6pm till midnight with special conferences, concerts, exhibitions.

JUNE 21: LET THE MUSIC PLAY - FETE DE LA MUSIQUE
Celebrated each year since 1982, the Festival is open to all amateur musicians as well as famous artists. On that day (the first day of summer), music prevails all over Paris from 2pm until dawn in the streets, bars, restaurants, music halls and museums.

JUNE-SEPTEMBER: CHILDREN HAVE THEIR OWN FESTIVAL "LES PESTACLES"

‘Pestacles’ is a cute play on the word ‘spectacle’, which is hard for young children to pronounce, tending to say ‘pestacle’. The activities, which include concerts, gardening workshops and more are suitable for kids from 3 years-old and above and are to be held every Wednesday afternoon from June to September at the Parc Floral de Paris located next to Château de Vincennes.

JULY-AUGUST: ENJOY PARIS PLAGE (PARIS BEACH FESTIVAL)

Paris metamorphoses into a beach resort with real sand, umbrellas, deck chairs, palm trees for a genuine holiday atmosphere. No swimming in the Seine of course but fun for everyone with pétanque, trampoline, badminton, beach volley or even tropical dance or tai chi. Children will have a wonderful time as they will be able to join numerous playgroups.

SEPTEMBER 14 AND 15: UNVEIL PARIS' SECRETS DURING THE 'JOURNEES DU PATRIMOINE' (HERITAGE DAY)
An incredible variety of famous (but usually off-bounds) historical monuments exceptionally open their doors to visitors. A unique opportunity to visit the Palais de l’Elysée - the French President’s residence. Many permanent and temporary exhibitions are free of charge during this week-end. The French Journées were launched 30 years ago and have become a highlight of the French cultural events with 465,000 visitors in 2012.

OCTOBER 19 TO 23: VISIT AND HAVE FUN AT 'KIDEXPO'
The biggest annual family exhibition in France is held at the Congress Center Porte de Versailles. With 170,000 visitors and 300 vendors, it offers more than 100 workshops to children from 4 to 14.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS: DISCOVER THE MUSEE DES ARTS FORAINS (PAVILLION BERCY)
This private museum is all funfair, magic, lights and fun. Ride a fascinating carousel and play funfair games as if time had stopped in 1850! Adults enjoy it as much as children. The Musée opens its doors to public during the holidays and it is a real Christmas gift.
