Situated only 10kms from Sydney, the Lane Cove River Tourist Park is known as Sydney’s leading eco Tourist Park. It is a popular low cost environmentally friendly accommodation option for families.
The park has sites that suit all types of caravan and camping setups. Facilities include modern amenity blocks, free camp kitchens and free onsite BBQs. A bush playground is set in amongst the family camping area. For those who don’t want to bring their own, 28 cabins are dotted through the park. Cabins are self contained and all linen is provided.
It is run by the National Parks and Wildlife Service so you know there will no shortage of native plants and animals. To gain a better understanding of Australian animals, free night educational and spotlighting tours are provided. Check reception for schedule.
Visitors can also stay in the knowledge they are doing their bit for the environment. The park is completely carbon neutral, runs on green power, and has a water saving plan in place. In addition, the park has embarked on an ambitious native gardening program that has created habitat for local wildlife.
For the second year in a row, the park was awarded the Best Caravan/Tourist Park award by NSW Tourism. The park is proud to be a clean, comfortable and affordable 3.5 AAA star rated park.
Supporting Lane Cove River Tourist Park means also supporting the environment. Park funds are used to maintain the amenity of the park and left over money is dedicated to environmental and greening projects both in and out of the park.
