Thunderbird Park at Tamborine Mountain near Queensland’s Gold Coast offers a natural high with a range of adventures and physical challenges.
Come for the day or stay and play. On-site accommodation includes campsites, standard rooms, luxury spa rooms, and private lodges for up to nine people. Thunderbird Park is less than an hour by road from Brisbane and 35 minutes from the Gold Coast. Adventures range from soft, to moderate and challenging. Visitors choose the adventure that suits them.
Take is easy and get back to nature, relax in the rainforest, go bushwalking, horse trail riding, ride a bike along designated tracks, meet the friendly wildlife and colourful birds or take a dip in the rock pools.
Hunt for treasure in the world’s largest open-cut thunderegg mine and find gem-filled rocks formed when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Add more adventure with the second level of mountain biking and some levels of Adventure Parc, Australia’s largest SAS-style ropes course. Laser Skirmish is a safer version of paint ball (no paint and no pain).
Go to extremes; try rock climbing, abseiling, the advanced levels of the ropes course and steeper bike trails. Recover with a meal and drink in the family friendly restaurant.
Thunderbird Park is easily accessible and conveniently located for people living in or visiting the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Interstate and overseas visitors can drive from two major airports or take a coach transfer to the rainforest property.
