After a long flight with a 3 year old I was excited to see the beautiful greenery that surrounds Suva as we came in to land. I had travelled with my son to attend a friend's wedding in Lami ( just outside of Suva) followed by a 5 night stay at The Naviti Resort.
The Naviti was attractive from the beginning, with an" ALL INCLUSIVE DEAL" how could we go wrong?! The all inclusive price meant that we both could have all meals, soft drink, unlimited icecream for him and unlimited local beer, wine and spirits for me...and I didnt have to keep constantly checking the budget.
The rooms were more than luxurious, very clean and the bathroom was huge! The staff overly helpful and more than eager for cuddles with my young son. (He soon learnt to smile sweetly and say BULA to everyone). It was great.
We spent our days in the pool, feeding the donkeys, going on sunset cruises, eating icecream and I even managed to fit in a hot rock massage...so relaxing. I didnt even mind that my boy was too young to attend the kids' club (although whenever we saw them out and about, they did look as though they were having fun).
We took some snacks from home that we weren't able to buy in Fiji, and apart from that I would say go steady on the milk (the group that we travelled with all got upset stomachs from the difference in the milk).
I would HIGHLY reccommend The Naviti Resort, and we cant wait to go back!! Tina Holzhauser

We stayed at the Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast. It was fantastic. The kids club was good and the kids went there most days and did donkey rides and had disco's at night plus crab races. We did the deal where all drinks and food were included so the kids were never hungry. This also meant we didn't get a huge bill for food at the end of our trip. Everyday we had something to do if not beach volley ball, it was going out in the glass bottomed boat or snokelling. The staff were so friendly especially to the kids. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave and are saving to go back. Anonymous

Our family of four stayed at The Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast, Fiji Islands back in January 2006. We stayed at the resort for seven nights in an Ocean View Suite which was spacious and included a queen bed, a single bed and a pull out bed and overlooked a lagoon and rugged hills on the other side of the resort. The Resort is laid out on 38 acres of beautifully manicured gardens in a eyecatching tropical setting. Although the 240 guest rooms at the Resort were fully booked at the time of our stay, we found it large enough to not be in other guests' spaces. The staff were very friendly and attentive and no request was too hard for them to deal with. The Naviti offered an all inclusive buffet and A la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner deal as part of our overall package. We found the variety of food presented in the six restaurants and bars to be a high standard and the service provided by the staff was excellent. There was a kids club at the Resort which looked well supervised but our children did not use it as we found there were so many other activities offered. The new pool and wet bar had just been completed at the time of our stay and we spent a lot of time relaxing there. We spent time snorkelling, fishing, coral viewing and went on the sunset cruise. We went on a bus trip into the markets at Sigatoka which included a stop at Baravi Handicrafts where we purchased many great buys including a kava bowl. We also spent a morning visiting the Naviti's sister resort The Warwick. A highlight for our girls included watching the fire dancing and getting their hair braided, although it took four hours for one of my daughter's braids to be done and that was with two girls working on her hair. The result was worth it and she got many admiring glances and comments when she commenced high school two weeks after we returned from our Fiji holiday. Looking back at our photos and typing this email brings back so many great memories of our time spent at The Naviti Resort and makes us want to pack our bags and get back there for some "Fiji time". We stayed at the Naviti in Fiji (Coral Coast) and had a great week, despite just myself & daughter going, as my husband was too sick to come with us as planned.
The resort was great, nice rooms. The best thing was the all inclusive package- all meals, all local alcohol & house wine, free soft drink & ice cream for the kids. There were a choice of 3 restaurants you could eat in, although we only went to the buffet as that was what my daughter (12) wanted each night. Food was good & plentiful. The staff were beautiful, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Despite being 12, my daughter did not go to the kids club, as she made friends with a 13 year old girl, but there were lots of activities for teens too. The families we spoke to that used the kids club thought it was good, as well as the babysitters.
The activities staff were great, the highlight of our day was Bill's Pool volley ball comp - Fiji rules! There was entertainment each evening too. We only went on 1 trip - horse riding to a waterfall which was good. There were lots of trips you could do though.
Our bill on checkout was only $13! (For a cocktail I had).
The weather wasn't the best, overcast mostly, with 2 days of rain (early July) but was still warm enough to swim. The free snorkeling gear was in good condition, and the canoes were good, but were disappointed that the 1 catarmaran was broken. Also we didn't get to go on our free sunset cruise due to bad weather.
Tips - buy souvenirs, massages & hair braiding from the local villagers just outside the resort not the resort shop. Lindsey Edgar

Why was it so good for our family? Everything was included, water, drinks, icecream even wine and beer for us…… The kids never came up asking for money for this or that, they just went and got what they wanted, fantastic.
It had a kids club but our children chose not to use it, the night time activities were great for them and they enjoyed being part of it. The kids loved the holidays, we have had some great holidays locally and overseas and they say it was the best holiday. Maybe cause Mum and Dad were very happy and not being nagged for money.
We did a tour of the city and the salad bowl, visited a local school and village, the kids loved it and my daughter even got up in front of the school and told them about life in Australia. The favourite activities where each afternoon at 3 pm the workers would knock off and the Guests (mainly Dad’s & Sons) and the staff would play touch football or volleyball on the front lawn of the resort, while my daughter and I would wander over to the adjoining village and either have a massage, nails done or hair braided. Fantastic quality time.
Absolutely the best holiday, we even sent our laundry to be done and it came back washed ironed and folded for about $10A dollars. The only down side was we shared 1 room and with 3 beds and 2 adults and 2 children it was very squishy, so next time we would look for a 2 bedroom apartment but only if it had the same facilities as the Navitii.
