Antarctic Expedition - 17 days/16 nights ex Sydney Tuesday 26 December 2006
Give your family a Christmas present they will cherish forever. Steve and Sara Cameron, the owners of African Wildlife and Natural Focus Safaris, their two children, and up to 12 other families are embarking on an exclusive family charter to the Antarctic wilderness. This is a truly unique, once in a lifetime opportunity giving families the chance to explore this amazingly beautiful and pristine part of the world on an intimate, private expedition that has been specifically designed for families and children.
Just 40 hours by sea from the tip of South America, lies the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula. A photographer’s paradise, it is an awe-inspiring world of rugged mountains, huge glaciers, icebergs, and fjords. The beaches, rocks, seas and ice floes are a haven to penguins, seals, whales and many species of birds.
Apart from the spectacle from the deck of the ice strengthened ship Professor Multanovskiy, we will also have the opportunity to venture ashore via Zodiac inflatables to walk on remote beaches, cruise amongst the ice and get close to historic sites and wildlife. Suitable for children as young as 10 years this small group expedition is limited to a maximum of just 48 passengers to ensure comfort and allow the group to make regular outings in the Zodiacs.
The 17 days/16 nights tour departs Sydney on Tuesday 26th December and is priced from $14,502 per person twin share with shared facilities, and $16,128 per person twin share with private facilities, including airfares, transfers, accommodation and tours in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia and most meals. Guests joining from other Australian cities will need to arrange return airfares to Sydney. Pre and post tour extensions to other parts of South America are possible.
There are just 8 berths left so book NOW to avoid disappointment.
