Kandui Villas, Mentawai Islands
Kandui Villas is a luxury surf resort in the heart of the fabled Mentawais surf zone known as ‘Playgrounds’. It's one of the most consistent surf locations in the world that hosts a range of waves that cater to all skill levels from learning grommets to professional surfers.
Waves include the renowned Rifles and Kandui Left (point breaks with long tube sections); to the fun and rippable waves of 4 Bobs, A-frames & Burger World.
Accommodation consists of 12 Umas with shaded porch, garden, private bathroom, ceiling fan, air- conditioning, mosquito nets and a choice of three king-sized beds, or two king-sized beds and two single beds accommodating from one to four people; they are versatile enough to cater for couples, families or groups of surfers.
Facilities include spa/massage, beach volley ball, pool table, ping pong, bocce, Wi-Fi, nanny service, snorkelling, board games, satellite television as well as a large library of DVD movies to relax for the family.
Chaaya Island Dhonveli
Awarded the Maldives “Leading Surf Resort” for 2012, 2013 & 2014, Chaaya Island Dhonveli is a small and beautiful tropical island resort in the Maldives. Offering exclusive access to the classic left of Pasta Point, the region’s most consistent break and just a minute’s walk from your room with another three world class breaks – Sultans, Honky’s and Jailbreak – being less than ten minutes away by boat. Atoll Adventures is the resort’s exclusive surf operator which maintains a limit of 30 surfers at any time for a hassle free lineup.
Chaaya Island Dhonveli facilities include a spa, open-air restaurants, three bars (one overlooking Pasta Point), Wi-Fi internet, nanny service, swimming pool, pool table, tennis court, badminton, gym, safe beach for children and a fully certified PADI Diving School. Nemberala Beach Resort
On the remote island of Rote Island lies Nemberala Beach Resort, a comfortable, classy resort which is perfect for families and with easy access to excellent waves.
The main break T-land is a huge left hander on the reef in front of the resort. It works on all tides, has consistent offshore winds and can hold a big swell giving rides of 200 metres or more. Several other breaks can be reached with a short boat ride, including the long, steep, fast right off Do’o Island, and some snappy rights off N’Dau Island.
Built by Rote craftsman with locally quarried stone, exposed regional hardwoods and traditional Rotenese alang roofs the Nemberala Beach Resort villas overlook the white sand beach and feature views of the sea and the surf with the swimming pool a few metres from the porch.
Activities include fishing, SUP, mountain bike riding, snorkelling, village market & beach walks or just relaxing by the pool; having a drink at the bar or being pampered at the spa.
