Walking with a guest, tracking lions in the magnificent Madikwe Reserve, Jan discovered a site that would a few years later become the foundation for Jaci's Safari Lodge. The dynamic combination of Jan's vision, to create an authentic luxurious tented safari lodge and Jaci's passion for the vibrant colours of Africa, ensured a dream became reality.

In your private safari suite you will experience the intimate joy of being at one with your surroundings - canvas walls and magnificent shaggy thatch rooves surround you - an enormous hand-made rock bath invites you to wallow and soak up the environment. Choose to relax in the upstairs bar or open plan living area, or otherwise cool off in one of our two swimming pools, with exceptional staff and attentive service.

The youngster in the Jaci's family and a short walk away from Safari Lodge, Jaci's Tree Lodge fulfilled Jan's dream of building a lodge on stilts, creating that mystical feeling of being elevated within the canopy of the magnificent riverine trees.
Accommodation
Imagine ... your own African tree house built around an ancient Leadwood - huge concertina doors opening around you to allow the birds singing to reach in to you, a romantic stone bath - big enough for two - enveloped by the privacy of the trees, you will feel as if you can touch the stars above you.
Walk along raised walkways to the generous lounge and private break-away area in the main lodge, wander to the swimming pool or take your binoculars to the hide and wait for the African bush to reward you.
 Activities
Enjoy outdoor dining around a blazing fire with the splendour of the African night above you. Our chefs will delight with South African inspired menus, using local produce and influence, cooked on open wood fires. Game walks or drives ensure you experience the sounds and smells of Africa and complete your safari.
Not to be forgotten, children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's - recently introduced specialised safaris are designed to encourage children to explore and discover the natural wonders of the African bushland around them.
