Hello Kitty, the furry feline character now synonymous with Japanese tourism, has found herself to be the central focus of Taipei-based airline EVA Air. The airline had Hello Kitty-themed jets since 2005, but in December 2011 the world saw the launch of three new jets in order to mark the airlines 20th anniversary.
As EVA's first A330-300s, the aircraft promise luxurious comfort in a cuddly and cute setting, with a different theme imbued in each of the three aircraft: apple, magic and global. All flights depart from Taipei and can take avid Kitty fans to Shanghai, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Guam.
During the journey travellers can indulge in Hello-Kitty themed cabins, and even receive boarding passes and bag stickers with the apple-pie-loving kitty stamped all over it. The flight attendants don't miss out on the fun either, wearing bubble-gum pink Hello Kitty aprons and motifs as their uniform.
