Three reasons to stay at Festive Hotel

Sentosa Island Singapore

From adventure to relaxation there is fun for all ages at Festive Hotel. There are around 14 different hotels on Sentosa Island and these are the three reasons why we choose this one.

1. The location

Festive Hotel is located in Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island in Singapore. Only a short drive from Singapore’s City Centre the location makes for a great base to explore all of Singapore. It’s a short walk from the hotel to Universal Studios Singapore, a world class theme park that is entertaining and fun for all ages.
Connected to the hotel is Festive Walk which offers a huge variety of retail stores, quality restaurants and cafes. There are also many other world class attractions nearby that are fun for the whole family such as the S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Dolphin Island. At Festive Walk kids will love making their own pancakes at Slappy Cakes and shopping for chocolate and lolly treats at Candylicious. The highlight for my boys was shopping at the Lego store inside the foyer of the Festive hotel.

2. The additional facilities

The Festive hotel has a huge outdoor swimming pool and is the only hotel in Resorts World Sentosa that has a kid’s pool and water play area so the little ones can splash around too. Not only do you have access to amazing facilities at the Festive Hotel but your room key allows exclusive access to the pool and gym at the Hard Rock Hotel next door. The use of both hotel facilities is quite an incentive to stay at the Festive Hotel as it makes it even more value for your money.
Kids will love building sandcastles in the beach area by the Hard Rock Hotel pool and zooming down the waterslides. With lifeguards keeping watch parents will love relaxing by the pool in the cabanas in the tropical setting.

3. Family friendly

The Festive Hotel has a casual and relaxed vibe helping families feel right at home. Upon arrival kids are given fun packs that include toys such as a ball to play with in the pool and a refillable drink bottle. We chose to stay in the deluxe family king room that included a loft bed and sofa bed which meant the room felt spacious for our family of four and offered a little more privacy. Cots are also available should you require one. The complementary bottles of water in the room and kid size bathrobes (upon request) were a nice touch.
With so many facilities and attractions within walking distance to the hotel it also makes it easy to drop back to the room for nap time or a rest before heading back out for dinner and night time fun. The hotel also has a casual restaurant for those nights you would rather get a quick bite to eat and have an early night.

3 activities kids will love in Iceland

After our trip to Iceland last year, my son and I both can’t stop raving about this amazing country. It’s unlike anywhere else we’ve been, and over a year on, we are still both talking about so many Icelandic quirks. I asked my son, now aged 6, what he would recommend to other families as the highlights of Iceland, and just have to share with you his interesting top three list.
