Australia Zoo

If ever there was a place to get hands-on with animals surely it is Australia Zoo, the embodiment of the Crocodile Hunter's legacy on the Sunshine Coast. Kids and interactivity take pride of place here, and behind-the-scenes tours and encounters are just the start.

Australia Zoo offers not just one but four Zoo Keeper for a Day school holiday experiences: Khaki Discovery Program for seven- to 10-year-olds; the Khaki Extreme and specialised Khaki Extreme Reptile Programs for 11- to 15-year-olds; and the Khaki Sensory Program for kids over the age of seven with special needs.

Each action-packed day gives young adventurers a whole new perspective of the zoo, from getting friendly with brush-tailed possums and giant Aldabra tortoises to preparing dinner for reptiles and making toys for tigers. There's something different to do with each programme, so be prepared for anything. Kids will also take home a special gift pack and a photograph with a new furry (or scaly or feathered) friend. The offerings run throughout the Queensland school holidays, with the Discovery and Extreme experiences priced at $85 for the day and the Sensory experience at $60

Australia Zoo is thrilled to welcome two new beautiful female giraffe babies to the family! Tulip and Lily are now on display on our African Savannah with the rest of the giraffe herd these Spring school holidays! Visit Australia Zoo's spring babies today.
