To Celebrate Disney's 60th Anniversary

Get ready to be dazzled by a once-in-a-lifetime party as Disneyland Resort celebrates its Diamond anniversary in sparkling style with new night-time events and loads of shiny new additions. Here is your first instalment of 60 reasons why you should visit Disneyland during its 60th Birthday Diamond Celebrations.

1. Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is the place to spot all your favourite characters in one place as they pass by on spectacular floats.

2. Disney Junior –Live on Stage! is a rollicking, musical adventure that’s perfect for Disneyland’s littlest visitors.

3. The genie is out of the bottle at the all-singing, all-dancing Broadway-style musical, Disney’s Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular.

4. Stars of Disney Pixar films and all their friends are ready to play at the Pixar Play Parade.

5. Let it go with a flurry of songs from your favourite ‘Frozen’ friends at For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.

6. The forces of good and evil do battle in Fantasmic! – an extravagant musical, pyrotechnic spectacle with dragons, pirates and, of course, Mickey Mouse.

7. It’s Tough to be Bug! is an eight-minute 3D movie and multimedia show hosted by Flik and Hopper from the Pixar film ‘A Bug’s Life’.

8. Head to Main Street’s Refreshment Corner for the chance to play musical chairs with Alice, the Mad Hatter and their crazy pals.

9. Catch Goofy conducting the fountains in Paradise Bay.

10. Zoom through the life-like desert landscape of Cars Land on the Radiator Springs Racers.

11. Tear through the air on California Screamin', a thrill ride that recalls the wooden rollercoasters of yesteryear... boosted by a tonne of modern power.

12. Rocket through the far reaches of space on Space Mountain, an exciting indoor rollercoaster at Tomorrowland.

13. Peril awaits you at every turn on the rollicking Indiana Jones Adventure.

14. The Grizzly River Run is a whitewater rafting adventure that will take riders along the rapids of the Grizzly River and up the ominous Grizzly Peak.

15.The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is a haunted elevator that rises and falls repeatedly for big thrills and chills.

16. Step inside a real-life video game and help Buzz Lightyear defeat the villainous Zurg at Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.

17. For gentle thrills that little guests will love, ride the junior rollercoaster, Gadget's Go Coaster.

18. Stay at the original Disneyland Hotel with classic styling that pays tribute to the park's 1955 opening. Located near the Downtown Disney District, the hotel is just a short stroll to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. It also has a fabulous water play park.

19. The Disney Fastpass system lets you reserve a specific time to enjoy your favourite attractions. Simply scan your park ticket at the Fastpass machines and receive a pass with a time frame on it. Return at your specified time and take advantage of the shorter queue.

20. Download apps like The Disneyland Wait Times app that will update you on how busy rides are throughout the day.

21. Disneyland's 'rider switch' - or 'parent pass' - is a system that Disneyland uses for height-restricted attractions. It gives mums and dads a chance to enjoy their favourite rides by allowing those looking after children to 'switch' with the other parent rather than waiting in line a second time.

22. When the lights go down on 'The Happiest Place on Earth', the Paint the Night parade shimmers to brilliant life with over one million lights.

23. Disneyland Forever is the fireworks spectacular taking over the skies (and streets) of Disneyland. You'll find images from iconic Disney films streaming across the buildings of Main Street, over the Matterhorn and across 'It's a Small World'.

24.The brand-new fun-filled presentation of the popular World of Color - Celebrate! is a spectacle of animated imagery, live-action film, fountains, lasers, special effects and incredible music hosted by the one-andonly Mickey Mouse and Neil Patrick Harris. Also be sure to head down the rabbit hole into a fantastical wonderland of pulsating lights and tunes at the Mad Hatter-inspired Diamond Mad T Party.
