Fly with Me Animals by Emirates

New toys for young travellers

Emirates launches new toys for young travellers, promising new and exciting entertainment for kids of all ages.

One of the most important factors when flying is the need to keep the kids entertained. Most long-haul flights (and even some shorter ones) have endless screen entertainment for the whole family, from games and music to movies.

These entertainment systems are perfect for kids of all ages but sometimes younger kids desire more than just a cartoon running around on the screen.

Emirates have lunched a collection of brand new cuddly toys to accommodate the four+ million children who fly with the airline every year. Just in time for summer holidays aboard, the Fly with Me Animals are the perfect inflight buddies for infants and toddlers, while those aged six to 12 can keep themselves occupied with Fly with Me Lonely Planet activity bags.

The new toys are replacing the original Fly with Me Monsters and aim to eliminate boredom. They are simultaneously entertainment and educational, each character representing a certain region and teaching children about its corresponding habitat.

In the first half of next year, jet-setting kids can come face to face with Lewis the Lion from Africa, Peek U the Panda from China, Enrico the monkey from Latin America or Leila the Camel from the Middle East, with an additional set of four animals introduced every six months.

The animals will star across three product lines: the Travel Buddy, which can be hung in the car or on a pram by a plastic toggle; the Carry Buddy, a toy and blanket combined; and the Magnetic Sketcher for those who want to unleash their creativity in the clouds.

The Fly with Me magazine will be filled with activities to stimulate children and produced solely for Emirates little passengers and has been refreshed to feature the friendly creatures.

For those six to 12, the Fly with Me Lonely Planet bags, available in two Kidís Retro-Style Rucksacks and two Kidís Cool Bags, feature adventure-inspiring content such as fold-out world maps and travel journals.

The new additions to Emirates flights are just one of a number of enhancements planned by the airline for the end of the year. Eventually kidís greeting cards will celebrate special occasions on board and cabin crew will capture memorable moments with an instant Polaroid camera.

Meals are served on newly refreshed trays that feature the Emirates cabin crew and pilots, while kid-sized headphones make watching the over 40 Disney movies and 25 dedicated childrenís channels a treat.
