Invited to Dinner

With all the charm of an alpine village just 11km from Hotham, as well as being the home of the cheapest family lift pass in Australia, Dinner Plain is a dream for snowseeking families, no matter what age your kids are.

Village adventures
This family-friendly village has a fantastic feeling of community. Its cosy size and sheltered location makes it a breeze for those wanting to embrace the cold to build a snowman, ski the gentle beginnersí slope, toboggan or simply go for a stroll. Snowsports are the main agenda for the day here, so expect fun times spent shuffling in snowshoes, dog sledding and cross-country skiing. Cross-country aficionados will be even happier once they find out the trail is free to use and groomed to the nines. If you ever feel in need of more mountain and longer runs, Hothamís 320 hectares are also easily accessible.

New in 2015
The resort has also been utilising the warmer months to finalise some impressive new additions. Its snow-making project has been completed, meaning it has three new snow guns providing more snow on the slopes than ever before. Dinner has also welcomed a year-round tubing park with two 100m slides for kids aged four and up, and new lighting installations mean it offers night skiing and tubing on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Indeed, its growing repertoire is truly a diverse range of fun for all ages.

Kids will enjoy the special evening menus offered at Dinner Plain Hotel, and if mum and dad want to head out for a sophisticated drink in the evening, babysitting services are available.
