This year’s gardens and lineup of events are inspired by the theme “Passion” and there will be plenty of activities that get kids into the spirit. They will travel back in time and visit the dinosaurs, venture into outer space, feel what it’s like to be a giant wandering through a miniature village, or frolic in the Teddy Bear Garden and see one of their favourite stuffed companions come to life through blossoms. Meanwhile, mum and dad can pick up
gardening tips from experts in the field, listen to inspiring musical performances and enjoy culinary
demonstrations by world-renowned chefs.
For five magical nights from Wednesday 24 September until Sunday 28 September, Floriade will also come alive after dark with Night Fest transforming Commonwealth Park into an illuminated wonderland. This year’s ticketed twilight event promises a mix of dazzling lighting shows, famous comedians, roving entertainment and bustling night markets, all set amid fairy lights, lanterns and floodlit garden beds.
