For the first time snow storms will descend on the new Antarctica exhibit at Melbourne Aquarium creating a beautiful blanket of fresh snow for our majestic King and cheeky Gentoo penguins to play on!
Everyday throughout the school holidays, watch the penguins huddle together under the snow storm created by a snow-making machine - similar to those used on the Victorian ski fields. Donít miss the opportunity to see the exhibit transforming into a white wonderland right before your eyes!
The Antarctica exhibit at Melbourne Aquarium mimics the light and climate cycle of the Antarctic, creating long days in summer and almost total darkness in winter - making the penguins feel right at home!
Learn about living and working in these extreme conditions in the Aurora Ice Station, where you can dress up as an Australian Antarctic explorer, jump on a real ski-doo and check out how scientists live and work in the coldest, windiest and driest continent on Earth.
Donít miss penguin feeds, special talks and presentations as well as art & craft activities everyday throughout the school holidays.
