 The Bali Dynasty Resort will be introducing a new family room type in July 2008. The new Family Studio will replace the Superior Family room; located at the front of the hotel. The new room types will be of a modern, minimalist design accommodating up to 5 people in the room. There is a king-size bed in one section and a bunk bed and trundle bed in the other. A full glass partition dividing the two sections, enables parents to have more privacy. The addition of the balcony gives an area for the parents to relax and enjoy in the evenings whilst not disturbing the children. Modern features will include two flat screen TV's (one in both sections) with DVD a player as well as a modern bathroom with step-in rain shower.
Commenting on the new rooms, Robert Kelsall, General Manager stated, “Although only 9-years-old, it was important to redevelop these family rooms due to the negative feedback we had received from guests. Previously there was no balcony and the partition between the sections was only a ¾ partition making it difficult for the parents to stay in the room at night and babysit their children. The new modern, minimalist design makes it much more attractive and the addition of both the balcony and full partition enables parents to enjoy a relaxing evening either sitting out on the balcony or watching a movie without disturbing the kids.”
The new Family Studio is targeted at families with children aged four and above and is not deemed suitable for 'infants' due to the distance from the pool area and limited accessibility for push chairs. The resort promotes it’s Family Garden View, Family Pool View or Kids Suites for families with younger kids; which are all within close proximity to the pool area and are all on the ground floor, making accessibility much easier.
In addition to the new Family Studio rooms, the Resort will also open a new lobby in April 2008, again modern and minimalist in design, and incorporating the new 'D Lounge'. A Piano Bar area opens from 4pm for Sundowner Cocktails till 1am.
