The Canberra Space Centre is located on the grounds of the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex at Tidnbinbilla, about 40kms southwest of the city of Canberra.
The Canberra Space Centre is your gateway to the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex. The fantastic view, fun interactive and static displays and wide range of archive and new video footage create a visit that you won't forget.
But that's not all! Entry to the centre is free, it's open 7 days a week, 365 days a year between 9am and 5pm (6pm summer), there is a cafe and gift shop for snacks and lunches, there is playground equipment picnic areas and a coin operated BBQ to make your visit complete.
Come and see Australia's largest permanent exhibit of flown space hardware and memorabilia. See a piece of the Moon over 3.8 billion years old. Check out what the well-dressed astronaut wears and the types of food they eat. Learn about the important role that Australia plays in the exploration of space. Sit back and watch a movie in our Space Theatre or relax with a meal or coffee in the Moon Rock Café with magnificent views of the Complex.
