KIDS DECK
Fantastic fun and creative activities for kids 2-10 years old 10 am-4 pm EVERY Saturday & Sunday and daily in school holidays. Group bookings essential. Upcoming programs on Kids Deck include:
Meet the fleet 10 am–4 pm Saturday and Sunday 13 March–4 April Peter Doyle Learning Centre
Bosun Mess at the Kids Deck wants you to show us your knowledge of the museum fleet. Activities include games, puzzles and creative crafts including colouring, identifying and labelling vessels, model and badge making. Then take your parents or carers down to the new Museum Quays for an informative tour of the fleet. Featured vessels will include pearling lugger John Louis, fishing boat Thistle, Indonesian prahu Sekar Aman, commando vessel Krait and tug boat Bareki. For children aged 2–10 years. FREE with museum entry.
MINI MARINERS
Mondays from 15 March 2004 Session one: (1–2 year olds) 10 am–11 am Session two: (3–5 year olds) 11:15 am–12:15 pm Peter Doyle Learning Centre
A special program for children five years and under and their parents or carers. Upcoming themes include:
Mini Mariners playgroup (1-2 year olds) Maritime music, stories and activities for the littlies to try in a structured play environment.
Pirates (3–5 year olds) Meet Captain Darren aboard the SS Brian. Enjoy pirate stories, songs and games. Make your own pirate ship, decorate a pirate hat. Graduate from Pirate School. Come dressed as a pirate to enhance the experience.
