Hunter Valley Gardens will transform the Marquee area into an enchanting winter wonderland complete with a skating rink and toboggan slide for the whole family to enjoy. A number of fabulous icy experiences will take place daily.
Ice Skating Rink
Whether you’re an experienced skater or a first timer, all who participate will have a ball. Have a go with friends mastering playground favourites like what’s the time Mr Wolf or Red Rover on ice. The cool crisp vibe is set by the disco lights, music and smoke machines which enable you to lose yourself in this magical icy wonderland. Skating sessions are limited and must be pre-booked on arrival at the Gardens.
Real Ice Toboggan
From 10am to 9pm, visitors will enjoy a 25-metre-long Toboggan slope on Toboggan rings (25 toboggans included). The Toboggan is attached to the Ice Skating Rink.
Test your snowboarding skills on our mechanical snowboard. This downhill slalem adventure is suitable for beginners to old pros: the longer you stay on, the faster it goes. Shred your way to extreme adventure and face plant on theinflatable ski slope.
Ice Sculptor Displays
Kenji’s specialises in large-scale sculptures made of snow and ice. Kenji has carved frozen waterfalls, lakes and even icebergs around the world. Kenji produces traditional handmade ice sculptures with a chainsaw and has done many large scale ice sculpting demonstrations on stage. Some Ice sculptures that will be highly popular include those of moose, penguins, bears and kangaroos.
Husky Racing Demonstrations
Come and see how to train and run Dog teams (2, 4 and 6 dogs per team). You will be shown harnessing, directional training using voice commands, the origins of racing in Australia and lots of other information. See www.malusky.com.au for further details.
