Punk Princess of Pastry Anna Polyviou has created a show-stopping Barbie® High Tea brimming with her rockstar desserts for kids at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, until 29 July 2018.
Polyviou has teamed up with iconic brand Barbie to produce an Australian Women’s Weekly “Australian Cookbook” to inspire children to follow their baking passion, and the High Tea menu reflects the special recipes.
Polyviou’s biggest role models were her mother and grandmother, and she wanted to create a High Tea experience for kids and families to enjoy together.
Sweet devotees will love family favourites, including Rainbow Cupcakes, Rocky Road Cups and Finger Bun Doughnuts, along with Vegetable Frittata, Ham Cheese Stars and a Barbie Milkshake.
Polyviou has also created a Barbie Birthday Cake which oozes white chocolate, caramel popcorn, and strawberry buttercream goodness, and can be ordered for parties at home.
The Barbie High Tea is available from 15 June to 29 July 2018 at $45 per child. It includes a complimentary Australian Women’s Weekly Barbie Cookbook which features some of Polyviou’s Barbie inspired creations. For adults, it is priced at $55 per person with a glass of sparkling and at $65 per person with a glass of Champagne. The Barbie High Tea is available daily at The Lobby Lounge, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and between 1:45 and 3:45 p.m.
The Barbie Birthday Cake is priced at $125 per cake, which serves 12 guests; it is available by pre-order only. For more information, guests may send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, call (61 2) 9250 6000 or visit shangrila.com/sydney.
