The world’s most popular cruise lines, Carnival Cruise Lines offers year round and fleetwide children’s programs “Camp Carnival” aboard 20 Carnival “Fun Ships”.  This year the line is expected to host a record 450,000 kids!
 
Carnival caters to children by age group and offers specialised activities in a fun, safe and stimulating environment.
 
Camp Carnival pleases everyone. As soon as the children come aboard, they will find a special welcome from the Camp Carnival counsellors, as well as the new mascot, “Fun Ship” Freddy.
 
“Fun Ship” Freddy, modelled after the line’s signature red, white and blue winged funnel, was created to entertain and interact with children as well as pose for photos throughout the voyage, adding a new dimension of fun and excitement to the Carnival vacation experience. 
 
Kid on water slideExamples of Carnival activities include for Toddlers, (2-5), fun ship bingo, Sega, cartoon time, sponge painting, singalongs, face painting, Nintendo, arts and crafts and drawing contests.
 
For Juniors, (6-8) puppet show, cookie decorating, beach party, Disney trivia, t-shirt painting, outdoor games, sea animals, Sega. 
 
Intermediate,  (9-11) ping-pong, video games, dance classes, jewellery making, scavenger hunts, go backstage, photography workshop and talent show.
 
Teens, (12-15) pool party, volley ball, pizza pig out, hairdressing, talent show, slide and sun, ping-pong, tournaments, photography workshops and talent show.  
 
Guests who are 15 years and younger will also be provided with an evening event co-ordinated with the youth staff. This includes late night movie, sports night, teen disco and Karaoke, late night swimming under the stars and late night teen buffet.  
 
Each evening, the Disco Dance Club will be open from 9.30pm to 10.45pm for teens, ages 12-18. At 10.45pm, the music will stop and lights turned up. The DJ will announce that the disco will re-open at 11.00pm for guests 16 years and older.
 
Also at Camp Carnival, new activities have been added to the line’s children program, including; youth spa program, a recreational fitness program, A-B Seas, a new reading program, and a new science program.
 
Children receive full care and attention from specially trained staff. Children are never far from their parents who, of course, can see them at any time.
 
A recent addition of the line’s complimentary Camp Carnival is the new Children’s dinner, available fleetwide in the ships Lido Deck eateries, the “Seaview Bistros”. Dinners take place from 6-7pm after which children are welcome to partake in regularly scheduled Camp Carnival activities until 10.00pm.
 
A different menu is featured each night and includes items such as spaghetti with meatballs, chicken quesadillas, hamburgers, hot dogs, roasted chicken drumsticks, pizza, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, roasted turkey and grilled salmon steak.
 
Children will make new friends with lots if other kids their own age, participate in fun-filled activities, play team sports and learn new games. In addition, with your kids happily occupied, you’ll enjoy some quality time to yourself.
 
One low cruise price covers just about everything, so you don’t have to worry about all the expenses, which add up when travelling with children.
